Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has admitted he misses training and playing for England. After being shunned by former manager Gareth Southgate since the World Cup two years ago.

Back at the World Cup in Qatar, Sterling requested time off to fly back to visit his family during the tournament for personal reasons. UFABET  Which of course irked Southgate, who blacklisted the 29-year-old and refused to call him up again.

Gareth has now left the position after finishing runners-up at Euro 2024. And there is a high chance that the Football Association executives will push Lee Carsley to become caretaker manager. Raheem has rushed to introduce himself to the new boss.

“Of course I love playing for England, it’s one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.” he told BBC Sport.

“Seeing the guys there is fun – to be honest. I’ve only had the chance to watch them play once since. I dropped out of the national team. I just love playing for the national team.”

“I’m looking forward to the chance to get back into the England team, of course.”

The Three Lions will play again in early September in the UEFA Nations League, visiting the Republic of Ireland and hosting Finland.
