Manchester United defender Harry Maguire turned up at Bramall Lane to cheer on his old team Sheffield United after they reached the Championship play-off final.
The Blades are fighting to return to the Premier League after two years of relegation to the Championship. They finished third in the table, 10 points off the automatic promotion zone, but have now reached the final after beating Bristol City 6-0 on aggregate.
Maguire, who played for Sheffield United early in his career, was at his old home to watch the game and made it clear he still had a strong connection to his old club.
Maguire has been in fine form for United this season, particularly in the Europa League, which has put a damper on transfer speculation.
After winning 3-0 away to Bristol City, they comfortably ran out 3-0 winners at home, to clinch a place in the showpiece event with a 6-0 aggregate demolition.
The paper claimed that “the United star looked in high spirits while walking through the rows leading to the director’s box.”

United do not yet know who they will face in the final, with the result of the second leg between Coventry City and Sunderland on Tuesday. The play-off final will be held at Wembley Stadium on 24 May.
